W. A. Milter reports the sate of the farm known as the Burgess land and belonging to Senator Curry C. Carter of Staunton, to Edward Brown Hudson. The farm consists; of 81 acres, and adjoins the farms of Carson Anderson, C. W.' Gough and others. The property was part of the John Carter estate. It is about 4 mites south of Washington.

CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Rev. and Mrs. Harris Chelf will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, May 7, with an entertainment at the Roanoke Womans Club, for their many friends and relatives. Rev. Chelf was for about 20 years postor of the Baptist churches consisting of Amissville, Washington, Flint Hill and Forest Grove.
