The Slate Mills H. D. Club met at the home of Mrs. L. R. Hudson Tuesday, Sept. 11th. The ladies cleaned and restyled nine hats.
Mrs. Gilbert Weakly entertained the F. T. Valley H. D. Club. Thursday, Sept. 13th. Mrs. C. R. Hite, ‘program development leader, led in discussion of 1952 program suggesions. During )the meeting nine hats were cleaned. The restyling of these hats will be completed the last week in Sept. Officers elected for next year were: President... Mrs. M.W. Brown, Vice Pres. Mrs. Eddie Gore and Secretary.. Mrs. C.R. Hite. Federation Goal Chairman.. Mrs. Harry Gallihugh.
Mrs. R. M. Johnson entertained Woodville H. D. Club, Friday Sept. 14th. The club discussed suggestions they would like for next year’s program. Miss Ethel Long, hat restyling leader and Mrs. Jessie Rowzie helped with cleaning and restyling 15 hats.
Mrs. Carl Carpenter entertained the Huntly H. D. Club ait her home on Monday, September 7. 71th.
Mn.. Jessie Rowzie has been helping with the demonstration cleaning and resfyling of hats. So far 45 hats have been rejuvenated.
Jflrs. Mary L. Thompson, food specialist of V. P. L conducted a leader training meeting Wednesday, Sept. 12th for all club food leaders. She demonstrated “Ways of Using Virginia Apples” and Foods for Health and Pep stressing the Importance of good breakfast. One way of using apples will be given by food leaders in October. November Club meetings, the food leaders will demonstrate the Importance of a good Breakfast.
