Thirty-three Angus breeders nominated approximately 700 calves for the Rappahannock Feeder Calf Sale to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Front Royal Livestock Market.
Those nominating for the first time are: £. A. Willis of Slate Mills; Meadow Green Farm of Peola Mills; Earl B. Combs of Woodville; Lucio Kilby of Sperryv'ille; Leeway Farm and The Shade of Washington; and L. L. Voight of Huntly. ' In fact, this indicates to be the largest sale held yet by the Angus breeders and is their 12th annual event of the kind. Quality of offering is expected to be good or better than in the past. Already several local and out-of-state buyers have indicated keen interest.

Eleven Rappahannock Hereford breeders have nominated about 250 head for the Winchester sale which is expecting an overflow of calves—around 2500 have been nominated to date.
