4-H Jr. Beef Heifer Show
At Dolmont ~ Dolmont Farm will be the scene of Rappahannock’s first 4-H Jr. Beef Heifer Show on Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m.
Only yearling heifers belonging to 4-H and F.F.A members are eligible to enter this year.
There will be five classes:
1. Angus Heifers obtained j through Rappahannock Livestock Committee from local breeders. Prizes to be awarded and announced by breeders according to the job each boy has done in growing out his heifer as indicated at the show.
2. Angus Heifers obtained through Rappahannock Livestock Committee from local breeders. Heifers to be placed according to individual merit. Prizes donated by Rappahannock Angus Breeders Association.
3. Angus Heifers (Open to All) Heifers to be placed according to merit. Prizes donated by local Arm era_'_*--—
4. Hereford Heifers obtained through Rappahannock Livestock Committee. 0 Placing and prizes same as Class 3.
5. Hereford Heifers .(Open to All). Placing and Prizes same as Class 3.
Classes 2, 3, 4, and 5 each carry $25.00 in prizes Valued as followed: 1st. $10.00, 2nd $7.00, 3rd $5.00 and 4th $8.00 which includes show halters, curry combs, feed tubs, etc.
