A special exhibit at Lea’s store in Washington and other activities are being planned to acquaint the public with the aims of home demonstration work. Twenty-five members plan to attend district meeting in No&kesville, May 1. The guest speaker will be Miss Florence Hall, Regional Field Agent for Northeastern States, Agricultural Extension Work, Washington, D. C. Miss Maude Wallace, Assistant Director in Charge of Virginia Extension and Mrs. Richard Ellisr Vice President of Virginia Federation H. D. Clubs will also be present.
An explanation of the work iwas recently phrased aptly by a farm woman: “Home Demonstration work is a voluntary on the job educational program for women. The program is carried into our homes and communities by home demonstration agents, assisted by women who sene as voluntary local leaders.
