RED CROSS NEWS

The Rappahannock County Chapter of The American Red Cross is closing its campaign for funds this week with approximately $100 needed to reach the quota. Any who wish to contribute and have net done so, please send your contribution to Mrs. Janie Jarvis at Sperryville. Mrs. Jarvis is also asking all county Red Cross workers to send in their final reports, if this has not been done. —James Atkins, Publicity Director.

W. S. C. S. MEETING

The Womans Society of Christian Service will meet at the home of Mrs. Barbara Gentry on Thursday, April 24 at 7:30. Mrs. Grace Reid will be program chairman. Mrs. Barbara Gentry will head the • worships. Those taking part will be Mrs. Ruth Cook, Mrs. Maxine Cary, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Sr. Every member is urged to be present. The topic will be “Brotherhood in the World of Work.”

Miss Jo Ellen Worth, a member of the Madison Glee Club, has been on a southern state tour with the club. They gave a concert at the University of Virginia, University of Richmond and other colleges. Miss Worth was one of the soloists. This week the Madison Glee Club is giving concerts at colleges in and around Washington, D. C.
