Woodville Baptist Church is preparing to celebrate the church’s 100th birthday anniversary on the third Sunday, July 20, 1952.

A history of Woodville Baptist church shows that a meeting was teld July 29, 1852 iwhereat it was '*A»olved “expedient, for the glory t J God, and for the promotion of His cause, to establish a Baptist Church at Woodville.” A covenant was drawn up and signed by: Joseph Botts, John N. Fox, Thos. W. Dean, C. H. Thornton, E. A. Turner, Mary Rosson, Jane Botts, C. M. Botts, Elizabeth Brown, and “Bettie’ G. Fox.
