A representative number from the Institutional On-Farming Training Class of the Carver Regional High School attended the Pasture Demon-_ stratioiT on Iurie 25, at, Eggbornsville. The demonstration was directed by the Pasture Committee of Culpeper County. G. Miller, Chairman of the Pasture Committee, M. Pates, county agent, and L. B. Henretty, county Soil Conservationist pointed out some valuable factors concerning the establishment and management ,_o£ tlie different k«»ds of pasture in our immediate locality.
Knowing that the farmers of the Southern States are beginning to '"visualize the great opportunity that the South offers in developing a more permanent agriculture in pastoral industries, we, the agricultural instructors of the Carver High School, realize the significance of attending such demonstrations.
The Agricultural Department of the Carver Regional High School is in the growing progress of sponsor-_ —iug one of its most important activities of the school year. In holding a recent meeting of the Regional Advisory Council, it was decided that the Four-County Agricultural Fair would be held on October 11, at the Carver Regional High School. In previous years this event has been held at the Ferris Farm Fair Ground and Race Track. The change in location is due to the unbalance in the distance'1 that some of the participants have to bring their entries. Nevertheless, w e r aee more than . grateful to the Culpeper Hunt Club and Mr. Ferris in permitting us to hold the fair there in the past three years. Knowing the unlimited cooperative spirit and interest that they have shown in helping us to sponsor this event we can undoubtly assume that they will still be toiling with us this year.
