or a wnne tne dus service east and west t^rou^h the county went both ways moaning and afternoon. Within tha first months of the year one bus went to Front ' Royal in the morning end to Culpeper in the afternoon. Since the first of June this schedule has been followed only on Saturday. No notification was given the county s people except to notify the stations where tickets were sol,d. Many people waited on the roadsides not knowing the bus had been discontinued. --

There is some sentiment in the county regarding the inconvenience. One expression is i “Perhaps they don’t make as much money as in other days and on other highways, but the bus companies should remember the days when the buses were crowded and also the fact that there are bound to be some parts of a business that don’t pay as well as others.” •Requests have gone out that citizens of Rappahannock who feel the inconvenience of the halted bus service will be at the hearing in Richmond on July 21 to prevent the stopping of the bus route, or get someone as a representative to request that some service be kept through Rappahannock county.
