The Northern Virgnia Hunt Club, Horse Show and Races will be held Saturday, August 9, at the American Legion Memorial Park, formerly known as the Culpeper Fair Grounds, Culpeper. This show will be given to benefit The Athletic Department of George Washington Carver Regional High School, Culpeper. The .Club is composed of all outstanding Negro Horse owners and breeders and is the largest colored Horse Show in America. At present there are more than sixty entries for the show and races. The feature event of the day - will be the two and one half mile steeple chase over one of the finest courses in the state. A Gold Cup will be awarded to the winner and when he shall have won three consecutive times the cup will then become the property of the exhibitor. —Robert . B. Jordan
