BRIDGE PARTY
Mrs. Holmes Hall entertained at bridge at “Shingle Shanty” on Saturday, evening with five tables arranged for the games. Her guests were Mrs. Brown Miller, Miss Dolly Hite, Mrs. R. G. Quaintance,. Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Miss Louise O’Bannon* Mrs. Franky Menefee, Mrs. Corrie Eastham, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. C\ H. Estes/ Mrs. Lewis Turner, Mrs. Charles T. Bruce, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. George Davis, Mrs. D. D. Miller and Mrs. Robert Reynolds. High score prize was won by Mrs. Quaintance, second high was won by Mrs. Price, traveling by Mrs. Davis and bingo by Miss Hite. At the conclusion of the game a delicious salad course was served by the hostess, assisted by her daughter-inlaw, Mrs. Robert Reynolds.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Deal of Peola Mills, James Chesgreen of Adenton Maryland spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Garence Jenkins.
Mrs. Amos Clark and family were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Foster.
Mr. and Mrs. Moses Burke and daughter of Washington, D. C. were guests Sunday morning of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baldwin. Davis Burke was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Baldwin. Mrs. Lula M. Jenkins is spending some time in Charlottesville with her sister Miss Durham. Miss Peachy Lyne is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Cottrell in Toano,_ _———
