Soil survey work is a Joint project between the Department of Interior and the states. In Virginia those in charge of survey work are: Dr. H. N. Young, head of the experiment stations and research work; Dr. S.S. Obenshain, agronomist of the experiment station and directly in charge of soil survey work; and Dr. H. L. Dunton, head of VPI agronomy department. Blacksburg, Va. is the adress of these three. James E. Yates of Huntly is the local representative of the Culpeper Soil Conservation District, a legal subdivision of the state organization.

National bank already pledging office space for the workers on the survey. The Rappahannock agronomy and Horticultural Committees have asked for the survey and their representatives, at their own expenses have gone to Blacksburg and conferred with authorities there. Reports say that Loudoun county hastened getting the survey by putting up some money to supplement funds appropriated from state and federal levels.
