Achievement tor selling at least $30.00 worth of subscriptions. An honorable mention goes to the following for selling at least $10 worth of subscriptions or more: Galley Smith, Clayburn Kuhn, Peggy Green, Johnny Browning, Shirley Williams, Edward Anderson, Faye Black, Mary Norman Davis, Caroletta Gough, Dickie Atkins, Bobbie Massie, Catherine Lillard, Becky Jones, Elizabeth Verner; Alice Harrison, Jimmy Yates, Betty Ann Corbin and Bill Leake.
The school’s profit, after expenses, was $141 with which we plan to buy new basketball uniforms for the girls.
The campaign was under the sponsorship of Mrs. Marie C. Groseclose with Alice Mae Coughlin as assistant.
Rappahannock County High School F.F.A. Foresty Judging Team consisting of Wilbert Pullen, Douglas Martin, Kelly Updike and Nelson Williams along with their adviser, D. L. Groseclose, went to Berryville last Wednesday *'to a forestry judging contest. The Rappahannock team came out very well placing second in the contest consisting of six teams. All F.FaA. members have been • earning money for the chapter by selling Christmas cards. When a few more boxes are sold the total number sold will be 100 which means $50 profit for the chapter. * * The F.F.A. initiation was held at the Rappahannock FFA building October 30 at 8 p.m. The formal ceremony was used for the initiation of the following: Olgerts Antonowics, Bobby Atkins, J. T. Atkins, Lester Clatterbuck, Milton Dodson, Don Liscomb, J. T. Pullen, Wayne Butler, Lewis Clark, Willie Clark, Jimmie Clatterbuck, Gavor Foster, Rudy Frye, Gordon Graves, Bunny Pullen, Jacob Sisk, and Buddy Zinn. After the closing ceremony refreshments were served. Guests for the initiation were NicW Cascio and Mr. Frymeyer, agriculture instructor of the Luray Chapter.
