A miscellaneous shower was given , by the ladies of the community on ^November 5 at the home of Mr and Mrs. R. M. Johnson for Mr. and Mrs Lacy Orange. Forty guests enjoyed this occasion and the ladies served bride’s cake and punch.

The regular meeting for November , of th.e Womans Society of Christian Service of the M. E. Church was held on Wednesday night in the home of Mrs. Edna C. Johnson with ten members present, Mrs. Nina Brown presided and led the devotional using for the scripture lesson Matthew 5:13-17 followed by prayer. The lesson subject was “Interpeted by Love” which was presented by Mrs. Johnson, leader, as is ted by Mrs. George Brown. After the business session, the hostess served refreshments and a social hour wa/ spent. ft '
