Mr. 3pd Mrs. Maurice Walker of Arlington were week end guests of Mrs. Walker’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning and sons, Johnny and Butch will spend Sunday in Richmond with Mrs. Browning’s sister, Mrs. P. T. Platt. Mr. and Mrs. Brue Wood and family, Dudley and Frances were dinner guests Sundy of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood and family, Amenta, Ruth and Burrell left on Thursday for Petersburg, where they spent Easter with Mrs. Wood’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cra— bill. Mrs. J.B. Williams and daughter, Miss Minnie Williams were dinner guests on Sunday of Mrs. Williams’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Williams of Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. Huck Dennis and daughter, Landra were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. P. D. D<ymis.

Sperryville News Notes

Cpl. Gerald Brown who is stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida, is spending a twenty-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown. Pfc. Charles Brown of Camp Breckenridge, Ky., who also spent the Easter holiday at his home will leave for, the West Coast where he reports for overseas duty.

Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Gore and two sons spent Easter Sunday in Culpeper with the Gore Family. Mrs. Helen Bruce had as her guests Sunday at “Barlow” her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith of Gainesville.

Miss Jean Brown spent the Easter season in Front Royal with her sister, Mrs. Phyllis Brown Shirey.

Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett and Mrs. William Meade Fletcher drove to Richmond on Friday where Mrs. Moffett was met by her son, Dr. Brooke M. Moffett of Norfolk Jo£ a week end-Easter visit with her son and daughter-in-law, returning on Monday by way of Richmond where she also joined Mrs, Fletcher, who spent the week end with friends for the return trip to Sperryville.
