Milton Adams Hitt
Milton Adatts Hitt, 71, of Amissville, died at the Georgetown University hospital, Washington, D. C. on Sunday, April 5. . Mr. Hitt is survived by three sisters and one brother. A brother, John Albert Hitt, died in March.
Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. David Menchhofer, from the Amissville Methodist church, Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m. with interment hi tfie family cemetery.
BIRTHDAY PARTY A surprise birthday party was given “Sonny” Brown in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Netus Brown, Friday, April 5. Those present were Catherine Lillard, Bonnie Gentry, Joyce Bowling, Mary Helen Bruce, Sally Dwyer, Mable Hawkins, Barbara Black, Margy Dodson, Jean Brown Joan Brown William Armentrout, Edward Armentrout, Charles Sisk, “Husky” Scroggins, Jimmy Wayland, C. H. Brown, Daniel Keyser and Wilbert Pullen.
Charles Chew, director of the Parole Board of Virginia and George Woodall, supervisor of this district, both of Richmond, were dinner guests on Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. John R. DeBergh of Harris Hollow Miss Gertrude Ball of Mt Jackson was a week-end guest of Miss Bonnie Gentry.
