The Amissville Fire Company was •called out twice on Sunday. It fought a forest fire for several hours near Eggbornsville. The other fire was on Castkton Mountain.. The Rappahannock Fire Company answered the call to the plane crash, Saturday, on the Resettlement.
Sperryville Fire Company had no calls.

The homemakers club gave an Easter party to the Flint Hill School children on April 2, at the Flint Hill School.
ACCEPTS POSITION
J. R. Johnson and son, Dennis are spending sometime with Mrs. John* son’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Dennis. Mrs. Johnson has a position as dietitian at VPI. Mr. Johnson, who completed his work in April for his B.S. degree in forestry, has accepted a position with the park, and will return to the college in June for his diploma.
Mrs. Blanche Frazier
Mrs. Blanche Frazier died Friday, April 3, while being taken to a hospital from her home near Washington. She is survived by her husband, William (iBuster) Frazier, a son and four daughters, Edward Frazier of Washington; Mrs. Annie Fincham, Miss Janie Frazier, and Mrs. Gladys Woodard of Flint Hill, and Mrs. Fannie Lee Riley of Maryland.
Graveside services were held Sunday afternoon in the Masonic cemetery, Washington, conducted by the Rev. G. M. Profitt.
'Pallbearers were Dan Frazier, Ernest Fincham, Henry Fincham, Wilson Fincham, James Fillers, and A1 Payne.*
