Our hats are off to the citizens of Wakefield District when it comes to organizing and raising money for a worthwhile cause.
Only three weeks ago they decided to organize their own fire department, and at a meeting last Tuesday night they had two thousand dollars promised toward purchasing the necessary equipment. If "any community in the county or any other county can beat that let’s hear from them.
Our prediction is that when the ladies get their organization going, and start helping the firemen this new organization will be one of the strongest in the county,
