Howard was hostess to a dinner party on Wednesday evening at the Lee Highway Hotel with the following guests invited, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Rector, Mr. Rector, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Estep Middleburg, Mrs. Clarice S. Rector and Mrs. Virginia M. Lewis. Miss Marjorie Snead, who has been a county health nurse in Orange for several years, has been: transferred to Dinwiddie and left on Sunday to assume her new duties, March 1.
Those from Sperryville who attended the Lewis-Jarvis wedding in Charlottesville on Saturday besides the brides mother and son, Mrs. Carroll Menefee and Frank Jarvis were, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Estes, R. M. Menefee and son, Ed Lynn Menefee, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. James M. Yates and Mrs. Kathleen Lawrence.
Mrs. MaHon A. Spicer and two daughters, Misses Ruth and Hazel Spicer of Brandy, Mrs. Ida E. Jenkins of Amissville, and Mrs. Tasker Woodward and two children, Larry and Barbara of Amissville, spent Friday with Mrs. Charlie Cloud.
