In the candlelighted chapel of the University of Virginia, Mrs. Jaenie Edmington Jarvis, daughter of Mrs. •Carroll Menefee of Sperryville, became the bride of Minor Lewis, of Charlottesville, * Saturday, February 27th at high noon.
Reverend David Burr of Charlottesville conducted the ring ceremony. Only relatives and close friends attended the wedding.
Given in marriage by Oliver Durant II, the bride wore a blue suit, with gun metal shoes and accessories, a matching sequin hat with a nose veil and a white orchid corsage.
Mrs. Marshall Botts King, the maid of honor, of Fredericksburg, was gowned in a brown and gold dress with gold accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias.
Gus Tebell of Charlottesville was the groom’s best man.
The couple left after the ceremony for a short trip. Thye will be at home in Sperryville after March 8.
