RULES GOVERNING RACES
All races (except Farmers’ Race) to be ridden by a member of a recognized or registered hunt, in hunting attire, riding a horse which has been hunted regularly this season with a recognized or registered hunt. No horse is eligible which has raced in a sanctioned meet one year prior to March 6, 1954.
(1) There will be no entry fees, post entries are acceptable.
(2) The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry which it feels does not meet the race qualifications.
(3) The Committee reserves the right to combine any of the above races in the event of insufficient entries in one or more races. However, trophies will be presented as stated.
(4) Overnight stabling is available if desired.
(5) The Rappahannock Hunt and the owners of “Leeway Farm” will make every effort to insure the safety of horses, riders and property. However, -the Rappahannock Hunt and the owners of “Leeway Farm” will not be responsible for injury to horses, riders, or spectators, or loss and/or damage of property. A competent physician, veterinary, and blacksmith will be on the grounds.
