Flint Hill Elects

Fire Dep’t. Officers H. S. Barksdale was elected president and Emory Russell, chief of the newly formed Flint Hill Volunteer - Fire Department in a recent meeting of the firemen. Frank Cary was elected vice president; David Corbin, secretary; and John S. Browning, treasurer. Lyle Rector is . the elected first assistant chief; M. R. Bradford, second assistant; and Nelson Atkins, third assistant.

These officers were appointed as a committee to draw up by-laws and a constitution to be presented for adoption at the next meeting, March 30.

The firemen voted to buy the truck under consideration, from Toms Brook Fire Department. A committee was appointed to look into the possibilities of various suggested , locations for the fire house, and to study plans for the structure. This committee included firemen G. W. Smith, chairman; W. A. Lawson, 0 Bob Cook, Bill Devers, Robert Clatterbuck and $uddy Moore.
