G. M. Profitt We have . here another one of John’s recorded phases of Jesus ministery which is very important from many standpoints. The Pharises have allowed tradition to blind their eyes spiritually and also kill their capacity for compassion. These religious leaders saw in Jesus only a competitor drawing the people away from them unto' Himself and so* they sought to kill Him.
In Chapter 11:54-12 : J reveals Jesus withdrawal into the wilderness country and then verses 12:1-10, we" see Him in Bethany for the supper with Martha, Mary and Lazarus. Here we see Martha still serving, but she is quite different nov^ to her first picture of murmuring. Here she serves at least 17 people without a murmur
Then in versus 11-19 we see Him in Jerusalem on -His Triumphal entrj
