_In Memoriam_

In sad and loving memory of my dear aunt, Hassie Coppage Burke, who passed away four years ago, February 25, 1950. The rolling stream of life rolls on, But still the vacant chair Recalls the love, the voice, the smile, Of the one who once sat there. As I love her, so I miss her, In my thought she is ever near, Loved, remember, lingers for always, Bring many a silent-tear. ;; She suffered hours, yes, hours of

pain, To wait for cure, but all in vain. ‘Til God alone knew what was best He called her home to give her rest. From this world of pain and sorrow To the land of peace and rest, God has taken my dear aunt Where she found eternal rest. God saw the road was getting rough The hills were hard to climb He gently closed loving her eyes And whispered, “Peace be Thine.” Gone but not forgotten.

Her devoted niece . - .
