I would like to encourage every citizen to kelp with alf types beautification of our towns and roadsides. Our state should appropriately celebrate the 350 Anniversary of Jamestown settlemen in 1957. If properly promoted should bring to Virginia millions of visitors. The value of our own properties will be increased and our prosperity promoted by a concentrated effort to beautify our country side and towns. The 4-H and F. F. A. boys have informed us that they will be on the job April 14 to start a project in the Town of Washington of planting Dogwoods.
I am sure these boys would be happy to bring one to your door and even set it out for you on the 14th i if you will give them a ring. We should take our hats off to our Future Farmers and 4-H’ers for such a worthy project
I hope every citizen in the town of Washington will cooperate and see that the town is in full bloom by 1957 to welcome visitors.
