In verse 26, Jesus said, “If any , man serve Me, let him follow Me,” meaning if anyone is to see Him they must come His way, that is the way of death and the cross and enter into eternal life. Then we hear Him praying and heaven again breaks the silence the 3rd time on His behalf. After His prayer the crowd is divided and unable to agree about Him Then again in verse 31, He cries, the cry of victory, the world is guilty and the process of the casting out of (Satan) Prince of this world is begun. This is a process spoken of in Gen. 3:15 and is continuing on even now. It will be closed when Satan is cast into the pit in Revelation. Verse 32 reveals • the way of his casting out is done and this lifting up also includes His resurrection, accension and the intercessory work for us.
“I will draw all men unto myself,” doesn’t mean that human history and redemption. All who believe on Him ' will be saved of course, but those who reject will not.
Now in verse 39-40 is a definite statement that God blinded their eyes and that it is in accordance to prophecy in Isaiah. Yes, God does ratify man’s decisions. He will strive with a sinner for a while, but when that person finally turns his back on God, God accepts that person’s decision.
