JMrs. b. £,. Hemng has returned .to Apple-Tree Cottage after spending two weeks in Baltimore, M<L, to be with her daughter, Mrs. James Stewart who underwent a major operation in a local hospital from which her recuperation is satisfactory.
Pvt F. D. Coffey, Jr., of Fort Eustis, spent the weekend at his home here. His mother, Mrs. Perle Coffey and Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr. drove to Fredericksburg on Saturday to meet him.
Mr .and Mrs. Robert Nethers and Miss Polly Nethers were guests on Wednesday evening of Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr. On Friday evening guests of Mrs. Coffey were her brotherin-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Chas, Corder and son, of Huntley.
Mrs. Raymond Rector was a guest on Sunday of Mrs. Perle Rector Coffey and family. Supper guests in the Coffey home on Sunday evening were Mr.- and Mrs. Lyle Rector and their two little girls, Rebecca and Eleanor Rector, of Flint Hill. Mr. Walter N. Rector went to Fauquier on Sunday where he will visit his son, Raymond Rector, and family and other relatives.
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily went to Martinsburg on Friday where they were overnight guests of their sister, Mrs. W. B. Barr, and Mr. Barr.' On Saturday they motored, to Hagerstown, Md., where they were entertained by Mrs. P. E. Hershey and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dickerson. They made a return trip to Martinsburg on Saturday where Elder Daily filled his regular, appointments at the Primitive Baptist Church Saturday night and an all-day meeting Sun day. Mrs. Allie Lionberger, who is spending som£ time with Elder and Mrs. Daily accompanied them on the trip.
