Supervisors Hold
August Meeting
The Rappahannock County Board of j Supervisors , held their August meeting Wednesday morning, August 3.
Resident Engineer P. D. Coldiron, appeared before the Board ■in regard to a road in Wakefield District and after consideration the members approved the addition to the said road in Wakefield District. This: discussion was in response to a petition compiled by Mr. Thompson, and previously submitted to the board. , F. R. Taylor’s sheep daim for 7 sheep and 10 lambs was upheld.
Almond of the Health Department appeared before the Board and at their request told briefly the work j of his department. Supervisors Wood and Cook had both had citizens’ questions on this, issue. At thic end of the meeting, bulletins outlining the work of a health department, were given to the membeijs. Mr. Cook requested that perhaps to clarify this issue, a summary of the work of this health department onild be published. (It will appear ih next week’s News.)
The 1956-1957 Tentative Budget of the Welfare Dept, was approved by the Board, in addition to the discussion of smaller matters. I
