Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne had as their week-end guests at their country home, their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Powell and two children of Arlington.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown and Margaret were week-end guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. ■ Susan Brown, who spent several day? last week at “Rock Villa,” returned to her home Sunday.

Mrs. Annie Taylor Bruce, who suffered a paralytic .stroke while visiting in Front Royal about ter days ago, has been removed to the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C. Ennis Brown, where her condition is reported slightly improved. Members of her family are constantly at her bedside and to be with Mrs, Brown to help in caring for theii mother.
