The first clerk of the church was Rev. R. L. Ruffin, who, afterwards became the second pastor, but who served only a few years in that position. The third pastor was Rev. James S. Fields, who ", served about fifteen years.

The fourth pastor was Rev. Jas. S. Woodson, who served two years.

The present and fifth pastor,. Rev. D. H. Banks, has bewi the pastor about nineteen years.

The following is a list of the original members, all of whom are dead except the last two named: Jared Banks, Ned Williams, Eliza Hughes, Mary Rector, Mary Jane Davenport, afterwards Mary Jane Turner), Maggie Page (afterwards Mary Banks), Lewis Williams and Catherine Starks.

About eight years ago there were added cement steps, a vestibule, a belfry, and a 1100 poundL bell. - Within the past year there has been added a Pastor’s study, choir room, and the church • building , lengthened 10 feet and more land purchased from Mrs. Wl G-. Wood for parking space. Electric lights have also been installed.

The present membership • » about 250.
