Last Minute Plans
For Carnival
The Women’s Auxiliary of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department met in Mrs. Robert L. Massie’s yard, Monday night and made last minute plans for a successful carnival.
The food committee, headed by Mrs. W. A. Moore, sought contributions of homemade cakes and pies to be sold. Other committees checked their plans, to be sure all would be in order. It was decided to open the stands for business at 7 o’clock each evening of the carnival.
A ham will be given away and ran be seen at the food bdo’th. It is a genuine “old country ham.”
There were 21 members present. Those who were not present were sent invitations to bring or send homemade cakes, pies, cookies or candy to sell. The contents of the last apron to be patched was revealed as over $17. The total on aprons was approximately $88.00.
