John Turner,, who underwent an appendectomy in the University of Virginia Hospital, Saturday morning, returned to his home Monday, and is recovering satisfactorily.

Mrs. Reid Biedler of Washington, D. C. spent the week end with her mother, Mrs..H. J. Racer.

Upton Weaklty was a guest on Sunday afternoon of Mr. and M rs. ^ Clarence Racer and was a supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Updike.

Mrs. Charles Reid was an over- ' night guest of Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood, Saturday at their home, Sunny Side.

Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Wayland, Clarence Racer and Jimmy Wayland were among those froip Washington who attended Johnniy Lillard’s funeral at. Brightwood, Saturday. . Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wire and daughters, Rosemary and Remona, are spending some time at their home, The Shade.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Dc: Bergh and little daughter, Diane Randolph were Sunday guests of Mrs. DeBergh’s parents, Colonel and Mrs. E. Whiting Raley, at their home in Washington, D. CMrs.

B. R. Cox, who is at , the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, for treatment, is^ reported to be “much improved.” John R. DeBergh was in Biglerville, Pa., Monday, on business..
