The( county was shocked and grieved last Thursday when.it received word of the tragic death.of Johnnie Yoweil Lillard, 30, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Y. Lillard of, Peola Mills.
Mr. Lillard was on a fishing trip on the James River, with 2 friends, when accidental drowning occurred. J
Young Johnnie worked for 5 or 6 years in the county, employed at Sperryville Service Station and at N>Cthers Store, Amissville. During this time his attractive personality earned him many friends. For the past several years, he operated a service station in Madison. He made his home in Brightwood with his wife, Mary Lee Lillard, 'and his 4-month old daughter, Deborah Sue.
