AN APPEAL •
TO PARENT? S
Poliomyelitis follows no well defined behavior patterns. The conduct of poliomyelitis^ there* fore, is unpredictable in the next year. ; h J
It can safely be predicted that it will strike somewhere next polio season, that somewhere may be Rappahannock County and it may include your child. A limited supply of vaccine is on hand for vaccination in the age group from one through ten years of age. It is anticipated enough vaccine will be available to reach all children in this age group in the immediate future. Ages one through ten is ^elected as a starting point because this age is most susceptible to paralytic poliomyelitis.
Some vaccine has been distrib, uted to your physician. Contact him as soon as you can and get the best protection available from paralytic poliomyelitis. There is no charge for the vaccine, the only charge being for the administration of it j f
An appeal is made to each individual, to civic organizations, and to the community as a whole to assist in getting as many vaccinations done as possible before next summer. ' ' n i'.if "■ n J ||I» m. ■■■Ill- • ■ 1
