Safe Driving Day, December 1, promises; to be a significant date in the annals of traffic safety. ^The Virginia Rural Safety Council says it should be of special interest to'farm residents because motor vehicle accidents account for more than 40% of all accidental cfeSths of farm people.
Last years S-D Day proved the potential value °f *uch an effort. It brought about , says the committee, activity in communities which had never before cooperated in an intensive safety campaign. ' While December 1 is several weeks away, the Virginia council believes it isn’t too early for rural community organizations to begin making plans for the most intensive effort ever undertaken on safety driving. The watchword for this year’s campaign will be “Make Every Day S-D ~ Day.”
