A benefit game was played between Flint Hill and the Chiefs, a deep frees* was given away and a dance held, with proceeds going to the fund. Five hundred and sixty dollars and twenty-five cents was collected through these efforts.

David Johnson of Norbeck, Md., was the lucky recipient of the deep freeze, with George “Punkin" Pul- lea having sold him the ticket. Edward Clark sold 128 books, the most sold by any individual.
