To Have Social
In December
In their November meeting held Monday, Nov. 7, the Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department discussed plans for a December social, planned their Christmas project and appointed a nominating committee.
Although the Auxiliary will encourage the decorating of houses and yards during the Christmas season, they will not award prizes for the best decorated. They plan to buy 12 Christmas carol records and by putting a loud speaker on the set in the town hall, play them to the town a week,; or at least, several nights during the season of Christmas. Miss Mao\li^r VVodd was appointed to coiroct Mrs. Paul Nichols to ask her suggestions in the purchase of ' the records. A schedule of “baby-sitting the record player” will be made in the December meeting. \
December meeting will include ,in addition to. a short business 'meeting, a social hour, during which gifts will be exchanged, refreshments served and games played. | "
