CLUB MEETING

The Slate Mills H.D. club held their November smeeting Monday night at the home of Mrs. A. IBrice Biggers, with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joseph G. Powers as co-hostess.

The new president, Mrs. C. B. Dorsey, presided over the business meeting. Mrs. W. W. Kennedy reported that she and Mrs. A. L. Weaver had attended the previous Thursday, a training meeting for Food Leaders, held in Washington at the home of Mrs. Gilbert Updike. A demonstration on the subject of “Good Kitchen Planning and Storage” was presented by the Home Management leader, Mrs. R. J. Boyd.

WMS PROGRAM

The Missionary Society of Slate Mills Baptist Church held their regular monthly meeting Wednesday night at the church, following Prayer Meeting. The program was on the work of the Foreign Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention with mention of the current study courses on “The Moslem World and what Baptists are doing in the countries of theh Ner East.
