jthe Rev. George William Cox ^who lived in Culpeper from 111 920 until his death in 1956 and was pastor of Bethel, Gourdvine, New Salem and -Slate Mills Baptist Churches for over 25 years. Mrs. Cox was an active member of the P.T.A. for a number of years, as well as various church organizations.
