The Secretary of Agriculture has authorized grazing and harvesting hay from land designated under the Soil Bank and the Wheat Stabilization and Feed Grain Diverted Acres programs in Rappahannock County, ac:ording to H. S. Barksdale, Chairman of the Rappahannock ASC County Committee.

Authorization to graze and harvest from this land is subject to individual approvals by the county committee. Farmers desiring to use their Soil Bank or diverted acres land in this way should apply for advance approval to :he Rappahannock County committee.

Farmers receiving approval to graze or harvest hay rom their Soil Bank and Feed Grain and Wheat Diverted Acres will have their nayments under these programs reduced by the amount )f the value of the grazing )r hay crop harvested, as determined by the county :ommittee.
