Mr. Daniel M. Norman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Norman of Woodville has recived his Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Accounting and Law, from Benjamin Franklin University.
Commencement Exercises were held Thursday evening June 27 at 8:00 p.m. in the Presidental and Congressional Ballrooms of the Statler Hilton, Washington, . D. C. Mark E. Richardson, President of The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, addressed the Graduating Class. Exercises were followed by reception and dance. Mr. Norman was a former employee of Schwartz’s Store in Sperryville, Virginia before entering the U. S Armed Forces in which he studied various subjects in order to obtain his High School Diploma. After returning from Service, he was employed as a clerk of Safeway Store, Inc., and within a few months was promoted to Produce Department Manager of one of the larger stores, located in Georgetown. During this time he attended night classes at Benjamin Franklin University. Mr. Norman is married to the former Bessie Hawkins and has two sons. He is now employed by the Government and plans to continue school for his Masters Degree.
