However, only three of the calves killed belonged to the seven cows, so there are four orphan calves,says Mr. Johnson. Three of the calves were purebred bull calves intended for the feed test in Culpeper this winter. The cows were all young, ranging from three to six years. They were partially covered by insurance, he said.
Trees were uprooted near the Johnson farm and Mrs. Johnson said many light bulbs were blown out in the house.
