At a meeting of the Trustees of the Rappahannock i Library held June 21 at Avon Hall plans were made to form a Rappahannock Library Committee consisting of three members from each of the six magisterial districts in the county, to serve for a period of two years. The duties of this Committee will cover such areas as the promotion of interest in the Library and its activities, forming of policies, contacting churches, schools and other organizations to keep them informed of the various ways in which the Library can be of service to them. It will work in all ways toward a county-wide participation in the success of our first county Library! At the Friday meeting William M. Carrigari accepted the Chairmanship of Trustees. Other officers include I. L. Parrish, Vice Chairman; Mrs. C. E. Johnson, jr., Secretary, and Mrs. B. M. Miller, Treasurer.
Flint Hill Methodist Picnic
The Flint Hill Methodist Sunday School will hold |tB annual picnic, Sunday, July 7 at Hawksbill Picnic Grounds, near Luray. Departure will be from the Church immediately following Sunday School.
