Dr. Splndler believes it's imperative that teen-age girls take a good long look at their diets. For every 10 girls, six of them are poorly nourishedthat is, they get two-thirds or fewer of the nutrients recommended for their age group by the National Research Council The nutrients most commonly lacking in teen-age diets are calcium and vitamin C. Iron, too, is often low in diets of young girls.

Don't throw out chocolate Just because it's turned white. Food specialists say this is simply a sign.jhat some of the p cocoa buttenrins segHfatqfl out. This happens at temperatures of about 85 degrees F. The cocoa butter in the chocolate melts and comes to the surface. When the cocoa butter hardens again, the chocolate turns white. Only the appearance of the chocolate is affected by this separation. Usually, there is no loss of flavor. If the chocolate is melted for cooking purposes, it will turn btown again. To prevent chocolate from turning white, store it in a reason ably cool place (under 75 degrees).
