Open House at Washington Elem. School

W a 8 hington Elementary School will hold open house preceding the regular meeting of the P.T.A. on November 19, 1963. Classrooms will be open and teachers will be present to visit with patrons at 7:15 p.m. All persons interested in the school are urged to be present.

Attend Area Meet

County committeemen of the Agricultural Stablilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) from fourteen Northwestern Virginia counties met in Harrisonburg Friday, November 8, for an orientation meeting following their election on October 24 to one-year terms on their respective county committees.

These committeemen are responsible for administering the various USDA action programs of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in the counties. The most active of these programs in this area are the Agricultural conservation Program, Acreage Allotment and Marketing Quota Programs, Price Support and other regulatory programs.
