Applications for admission to the University of Virginia law school for the f^l semester increased to 1,371 this year, a 42 per cent Increase oyer the 9ol who apj>lled last year. , A.group of 548 received letter* of acceptance, according to admissions director Emerson G. Spies, and of these 247 enrolled. Statistics released by the admissions office showed that 93 Virginians from among the 196 who applied are included in the entering class.
