Silas Grigsby
Silas Grigsby of Castleton died there suddenly Friday. November 8. Son of the late Green Grigsby and S a r a Tharpe, his wif.e, and a native i of Rappahannock County, he was 62. His wife was the late Mary Elizabeth Whorton Grigsby. He is survived by three sons, Roy Milton Grigsby, Silas Edward Grigsby, and Robert Lee Grigsby, all of Castleton; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Lavrincik of Darien Center, N. Y.; six grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Grigsby of Castleton. A funeral service was held Monday,, November 11, at Forest Grove Baptist Church, Viewtown, the Rev. John B. Hodge conducting the last rites< Interment followed In the Grigsby family cemetery near Roc Mills. Pallbearers were Brown Compton, James Massie, Floyd Hift, Frank Parker, Oliver Faulkner and John Compton. Arrangements were handled by Geest Funeral Parlors.
