first chance. Wool fron#%xtra flocks can be accepted only if deliveries fall short of the total estimated amount of wool assigned. Pool estimates were based on 6.6 pounds of wool per fleece multiplied by the total number of head from which wool was assigned. Pool date for Culpeper-Rappahannock has been set for June 16th. The top bid made on our wool was made by the National Worsted Company which bought a total of 270,300 lbs. at Staunton. Whitaker was the largest buyer being the successful bidder on 377,500 pounds. The spread lietween bids was just under a nickel a pound with high bid being offered on Highland wool which is readily recognized as the sheep capital of the ValleyNorthern Virginia Area.

Your scribe will attend school at Blacksburg June 8th 20th along with a group oi county agents from different parts of the state. RoyHeltzel and I plan on traveling and rooming together. Our able assistants, Arils Frymyer, Mason Hutcherson and Chris Clarke will be in full charge of the Wool Pool. Culpeper Farmers Co-op is expected to again furnish their,facilities. Also local ASCS office managers will be on hand to assist shepherds in executing forms pertinent to incentive payments being made.

Ate too much of Mrs. Wood's delicious fQod|got sleepy at Willie’s, also got stung. Friday lined up a couple of lawn parties to demonstrate weed control and saw the bird trap our F. F. A. boys built for
