Gore and son Edward Gore. Mr. and Mrs. Wayland, Robert Brown, and Mrs. E. W. Gore were supper guests on Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Wayland in Front Royal. Mrs. Helen Brown Bruce, her brother Robert Brown, E. W. Gore and son Edward were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow in Culpeper. Week-end and Mother's Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown were their sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Allen Brown of Washington, D. C., their daughter Mrs. Betty Ragan of Richmond. On Tuesday night Mrs. Brown was honored at dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. James B. Perkins on her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cornell of Washington, D.C. are spending a two weeks vacation at their summer cottage Boulder Lodge on the Hazel River. Frank Coffey was an overnight guest Saturday of his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers and attended the circus in Flint Hill. Mrs. Mary Ann Cozzo of Arlington spent several days last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor, who also had with them for the week-end Miss Joan Aylor, Buddy and Joe Henry Aylor .and son Joe Aylor of Arlington. Miss Ann Yates Aylor was here for a week-end at the Lee Highway Hotel with her grandmother Mrs. Della Howard. j Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson, Jr. and son Tracy of Alexandria were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson. Mrs. Harry L. Smith of Washington, D. C. spent the week-end with Mrs. Perle Coffey. Mrs. Smith also visited Mrs. Robert Brown while in town.
Miss Ruth Menefee and Mrs. V. M. Lewis entertained at dinner on Tuesday evening having as their guests the Rev and Mrs. James B. Grimmer and the Rev. and Mrs. L. C. Vaughan.
