us. Was off with George Williams for usual Friday orchard work... visited three orchards requested. Saturday I workedfoi* "Honey Do"...you married men know what I mean; "Honey Do thiq Honey Do that!" Finished making garden, oh but last weeks hard rain had it packed and but hard. Sheared the ewe flock., don’t tell anyone how many! Planted field corn, mowed the yard. Yup had a couple good boys helping., all three stayed busy from seven till... Then Just so I couldn't say I’d had a fuller week than she, my wife got up at 4:00 a. m. Saturday and started cookin 'n canning. So it goes for the Lynes... always busy and always broke. Yet lucky we can do what we can!

Margie Williams was a visitor Saturday of Miss Mary Bruce and Roland Updike in Culpeper. Miss Anne Cannon was an over night guest Friday of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hoyle in McLean. The Hoyles had attended Sperryville May Day Friday. Mrs. Nettie Moss arrived Friday to spend Mothers Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. B. James Moss and remains this week. .-,G ,-lG Friday guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Groover were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Steketee of Falls Church who accompanied Mrs. Groover to May Day exercises at Sperryville School. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Pate Tharp were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tharp and daughter Peggy of Edinburgh, Mr. and Mrs. William Tharp and son Glen and Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Wharton, Amissville, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tharp and son Tony and Mr. and Mrs. Jake Tharp and son Freddie, and Jimmy Bailey, Culpeper and Lawrence Horner of Fairfax.
